Summary: Pokemon, first aired in December of 1997 and was a anime phenomenon (I have yet to meet a single person who doesn't know Pokemon!). There are 277 (211 in American) TV episodes (And its "STILL" going strong) and 9 movies. Pocket Monsters is the story of Satoshi (AKA: Ash) on his quest to become a pokemon master to put it simply. He wants to be better then his arch rival: Shigeru Ookido. He must find well over 100 different species of Pokemon. He travels with his pokemon Pikachuand his two friends Kasumi and Takaeshi. They encounter Team rocket. A duo that has their eyes set on rare monsters like Pikachu.
