Chapter Six - Consideration

Scene 1

Ethan arrives from School to home (Lin’s apartment) Ethan walks into his room and notices that something different. Ethan then speaks in his mind.

EH= Hmmm. That’s odd. I don’t remember having two beds and girl’s clothing all over. Probably Lin is playing a joke on me. (Hears the shower go on) Huh?  Who’s in the shower? Is Lin home early?

Ethan quietly makes his way towards the bathroom door. He gets to the door, grabs the doorknob, and then rushes into the bathroom and says this.

EH= What are you doing in my- Huh?!

All of a sudden, Ethan sees a naked girl in front of him. After this vision, Ethan runs out of there and hides under a pillow.

End of scene. 

Scene 2

Ethan keeps hiding under a pillow while the girl (now in a towel) goes to where Ethan is and then speaks to him.

?= Are you okay?

EH= I’m sorry!

?= For what?

EH= For looking at you the nude! I assume that you were going to slap me!

?= You’re Ethan, aren’t you?

EH= Who are you?

?= My name is Min, Min Tohru.

EH= Min? Wait a minute. I know you. (A picture of her in fighting attire appears) You practically wipe out the women’s dojo competition all over. They said that your ranking proceeded over most of the men’s as well.

Mi= That’s right. Hey listen, I’m going to get dressed and then will talk more in a… how do you call it? (Thinks for a moment) Oh. In a civilized manor.

EH= Ok…

Min disappears and then, Ethan says this mind.

EH= Man, she was nice. I hope she stays that way.

Scene 3

The scene is focuses on Ethan and Min (now dressed), sitting at a table, and their conversation continue.

EH= So, I heard your dojo was in Okinawa. What brings you to Tokyo?

Mi= I heard the competition was intense here and I was just tired of all the disrespect. So, when I heard about this place, My master knew yours, and I manage to get here easily.

EH= Is that the only reason?

Mi= I also wanted to meet you, grand champion.

Ethan gets starts to startle a bit.

EH= What you mean by that/

Mi= I’ve heard numerous stories about you and I want to see if you the real article… in a match.

EH= Whew. Well, you’ll get your chance. Oh. By the way, I actually have to head for the dojo right now. You want to come with me?

Mi= I have to get my gear ready first.

EH= All right. I’ll wait for you.

Lin then runs to the room of where her gear is.

Scene 4

The scene focuses on Ethan and Min, walking towards the dojo. Ethan then asks Min a question.

EH= Uh… Min?

Mi= Yes?

EH= Will you be living with me and Lin?

Mi= Oh, of course.

EH= Are you staying in my room?

Mi= Lin insisted on it. To get to know each other.

EH= Ok… But, two things: Keep it tidy and make space for both of us, ok?

Mi= No problem.

Scene 5

Ethan and Min get to the dojo; enter the main temple, and they bump into Shirow. Ethan then speaks to Shirow.

EH= Hey Shirow. (Shirow gives a cold stare) This is Min Tohru. She recently transferred to our dojo.

Mi= Hello, nice to meet you.

Shirow then speaks to Min

S= Are you worthy of fighting?

Mi (offended) = I’ll take that as an understatement.

S= Oh, really. We’ll see about that.

EH= Hey. Take it easy, Shirow.

S= Bah! That’s easy for you to say since you’re not number two.

EH= I thought I told you- Never mind. Why bother explaining anything since I can’t get it threw that baby frame of mind that you are in?

S (furious) = What did you say, You Jackass?!

Lin appears and that stops them from attacking one another.

LM= You two, stop it this instant.

Both EH and S= Yes, ma’am.

LM= Shirow, Master needs to see you in his office, now.

S= Yes, ma’am.

Shirow leaves and then, Min speaks to Ethan.

LM= Ethan- Oh. I see that you’ve meet Min.

EH= Yes. We met earlier under… Let’s just say: “under weird circumstances”.

LM (Chuckling) = Well, where were you two heading?

EH= We were heading for the training area.

LM= Oh. Why?

Mi= I want to see if he is for real.

LM= Be careful what you wish for.

Hi= I’ll take my chances.

LM= Have fun.

Ethan and Min then enter the training area.

Scene 6

Ethan and Min have their gear on, stand face-to-face, and then, they get into a fighting stance. Ethan then says.

EH= Shall we tango?

LM= We shall.

They begin to fight. The fight was very even. They both had a counter for every punch, kick, and move they attempted. The match ended with Ethan taking down Min and putting his fist in front of her face from about three inches. After the confrontation, Ethan helps Min up and then Min speaks to Ethan.

Mi= Wow! I’ve never been in a match like that before.

EH= Trust me. I feel the same way.

Mi= So, if you don’t you mind, Um…

EH=What is it?

Mi= What was the propaganda between you and Shirow?

EH= Oh. He’s just pissed off because he has never gotten a win over me. Along with the fact that I’m rank number one in the dojo.

Mi= Oh.

EH= But, it’s just…

Mi= Just what?

EH= I’ve never really care about being the best.

Mi= Why not? You’re living a dream. A dream a very few could have.

EH= You’re right. But, like I’ve said before I’ve never really care. Cause, all ever really train for… was to avenge my father’s death.

Mi= Oh. I’m sorry. You never told me about your father.

EH= It’s a long story.

Mi= It’s okay. You don’t have to tell me.

End of scene

Scene 7

The scene focuses on the outside of Ethan’s room. Then, the scene focuses on Ethan and Min, who are asleep in separate beds. Hiroku then appears threw the side of the wall of where Ethan is. Then, Hiroku speaks in her mind.

Hi= Ah. What do you know? Sound asleep like a baby. Hiroku then pours a weird fluid all over Ethan that makes him disappear.

End of scene.

Scene 8

Ethan, still asleep, appears in the other world. Hiroku then pours cold water all over Ethan. Ethan then speaks.

EH= What was that for?!

Hi= Sorry about that. I just couldn’t help it.

EH= Ha. Ha.

Ethan then stands up and shakes the water on him off. Ethan then speaks again.

EH= All right, where to next?

Hi= On to the third power.

End of scene.

Scene 9

Ethan and Hiroku arrive at a strange white building. Hiroku then speaks to Ethan.

Hi= proceed.

Ethan enters the building and notices another orb on the ceiling. But, this one had an “X” in it. So, Ethan starts to make his way to the last floor of the 10 floor building. But, He stops at the third floor when a bunch of men appeared in front of him. Their face-to-face and soon, one man tried to throw the first blow on Ethan and missed. The fight was on now. Ethan fought his way to the top, along with throwing men off the floors. He finally gets to the last floor and then, thinks for a moment. Noticing the men were regrouping and coming up, Ethan dives for the orb, grabs it, and then dives out the window.

End of scene. 

Scene 10

Ethan and Hiroku are walking and then, Hiroku then speaks to Ethan.

HI= So, what‘d you get?

EH= Let me show you, me lady.

Ethan creates an “X” by his two fingers, the “X” goes towards the direction of some trees, and it cuts the trees down. Ethan then speaks.

EH= Self-explanatory, I think. (pauses for a moment) Hiroku?

HI= Yes?

EH= I never got to asked this at first. But… why are you helping me?

HI (thinks for a moment) = Let’s just say… that we have a common goal.

EH= Common goal?

Ethan and Hiroku continue walking towards the sunset.
