Chapter Five - Yun-Ki

Scene 1

Ethan begins to talk to the audience.

EH= My life just took a weird detour. (flashing back to the situation for the first power) I suddenly find out that I’m the grandson of a beholder of four miraculous powers. In a scripture, it told my grandfather that only the first son of his children’s children could go after the four powers again. After that first challenge and meeting Hiroku, I wonder why I was bound for this.

Scene 2

The scene focuses on Ethan, waking up and then says this in his mind.

EH= Was that real or was it nostalgia?

Lin calls out for Ethan

LM= Ethan! Time to get up!

EH= Ok!

Scene 3

2 weeks later…

The scene focuses on a dojo battle ground. Ethan appears first, then, Shirow next. Both walk towards the middle and stop at about 10 feet from each other. Both bow and then, turn to face the master, who’s on the second floor of the battlefield. Master then speaks.

M=Are you ready?

Both EH and S= Yes, sir!

M= Begin!

The fight was very competitive. It ended with Ethan countering Shirow’s super kick again and then, Ethan connected with his sweep face buster on Shirow, gaining him the victory. After the match, Ethan bows and Shirow leaves infuriated.

Scene 4

The scene focuses on the outside of Ethan‘s room. Ethan then talks to the audience.

EH= After the battle royal that I won barely, a few days passed and no sign of Hiroku… until one night.

The scene then focuses on Ethan (in the scene), in his bedroom, laying down, looking at the ceiling, and speaking in his mind.

EH= Man, where is Hiroku? (Thinks for a moment) I hope the next power is something devastating.

Ethan then closes his eyes and falls asleep. A few minutes pass and then, all of a sudden, he gets teleported and ends up in the other world. Ethan is still asleep at this point and Hiroku appears out of nowhere and then says this to Ethan.

HI= Wake up!

Ethan shockingly wakes up.

EH= What happened?! How did I end up here, again?

HI= Let’s just say by… osmosis?

EH= Very funny.

Scene 5

Ethan and Hiroku are now walking towards the next destination. Ethan then asks Hiroku a question.

EH= Hiroku?

HI= Yes?

EH= Do you know anything about the next power or the challenge have to face?

HI (cheerful) = I have neither.

EH=Well, you seem confident in me.

HI= I like to think so. (approaching a portal) Here we are.

Ethan and Hiroku are standing in front of a portal and then, Hiroku says to Ethan.

HI= Go on.

Ethan then slowly made his way threw the portal.

Scene 6

Ethan begins to talk to the audience when he’s on the other side of the portal.

EH= I don’t know how, but, I ended up in some kind of ice field shape like a battleground.

Ethan (in the scene) begins to look around and then, says this in his mind.

EH= I have to stay sharp. I can’t let my guard now.

All of sudden, He’s sees a blue orb. Tries to approach it, but, then he hears a voice.

?=I wouldn’t touch that if I were you.

Ethan looks up and sees a man in samurai form, at the top of the right wall of the battlefield. Ethan then speaks.

EH= Are you the proprietor?

?= Hmph. As I matter of fact, I am. I am Yun-ki.

EH= Indeed, you are.

YK= If you want this sacred power, You’ll have to earn it in battle.

EH= When do we begin?

YK= Now.

Scene 7

Ethan and Yun-ki end in a fighting stance and begin to fight. Ethan fires off two of his “enigmatic spikes”, but, Yun-ki mange to dodge them and starts jumping around fast to dodge more of the attacks. Ethan then speaks in his mind.

EH= Damn! He’s too fast to get a shot off. (Thinks for a moment) I know. I’ll time his movements and then probably I can stop him in his tracks.

Ethan finally manages to stop Yun-ki from moving and then, they begin to fight.

The fight lasted a good while until Yun-ki got his fist stuck in the ice wall while trying to punch Ethan. After this occurs, Ethan rushes to where the orb is, grabs it, and then, holds it up high with his right arm. And then, an embodiment occurs to Ethan and finally, equips the second power. Yun-ki then speaks to Ethan after the embodiment and getting his arm out.

YK= You are more then I expected. I underestimated you, young warrior.

EH= Tell me how to use it.

End of scene.

Scene 8 

Ethan returns to the side of where Hiroku is. Hiroku then speaks to Ethan.

HI= Thus did you obtain the power you were seeking?

Ethan stretches his right arm out, powers up, and a blue orb appears. Ethan throws it, lets it go for a distance. And then, he snaps his fingers and the orb explodes. Ethan then speaks to Hiroku with a stun expression on her face.

EH=Does that answer your question?

HI= Hey! Since when did you grow arrogance?
