Chapter Eight - The "X' Match!

Scene 1

The scene focuses on a bunch of vehicles arriving at a huge arena. Then, the scene focuses on a particular SUV. It stops at an entrance to the arena. Ethan, Shirow, Min, and Lin exit out of the vehicle and enter into the arena. They go to where the ring and the structure set up at. They all look to where the trophy is hanging and then, Shirow says something.

S= That’s high.

EH=What? The match is staring to play head games with you, Shirow?

S (angry) = No, of course not!

Mi= Enough, you two. Focus on what is really our enemy.

Min points at the structure and then, the scene focuses on the trophy high above.

End of scene.

Scene 2

Ethan, Shirow, and Min, are in the locker room and getting ready for battle. Ethan then speaks.

EH= We begin in two hours.

S= Are you in fear?

EH= No.

S= You know what to expect, don’t you?

EH= Pain, sorrow, agony… victory.

S= What about defeat?

EH= That is an option we cannot accept and it up to is to make sure that is not the outcome.

Mi (searching threw her bag) = Blast! I forgot my athletic tape!

EH (chuckling) = Well, good thing I keep this in handy just in case. (Pulling out some pink athletic tape) Here.

Handing the athletic tape to Min and she takes it.

Mi= Thanks. My, it looks colorful.

S= Got anymore tape?

EH= I have this red kind.

S= I’ll take it.

Shirow grabs the red athletic tape and then, says this.

S= Thanks. I’m going to get a beverage. You all want anything?

EH= No, I’m fine.

Mi= Same here.

S= Fine. I’ll be back in moment.

End of scene.

Scene 3

Shirow is where they have bottle water. But, then, a mysterious man appears and then, spoke to Shirow.

?= Are you the one they call Shirow?

S= Who wants to know?

?= I have a little proposal for you.

S= What kind of proposal?

?= It involves defeating the one you despise the most? 

S= Proceed on.

?= I have this magnificent power to help you. It will make you absolute. All you have to do is cost your team the match.

S= What?! I can’t do that. I’ll disgrace myself.

?= Fine. Have it your way. Don’t say I didn’t offer… Number two.

The mysterious man disappears. But, then, Shirow starts to think about the proposal.

End of scene.

Scene 4

People file into the arena and fireworks explode for celebration. The scene focuses on Master and the two rival dojo masters making their way to their seats. Ethan then talks to the audience.

EH= Master always seem calm with every scenario involving the dojo. But, I know deep down, he wanted this more than anything. So, I knew we had to go above and beyond anything we did. (The scene focuses on the two rivals’ masters) The two masters sitting to right of him were master Kano, Master of the “Tongs”. Odd teams, odd names. That’s what I thought. Then, Master Sohma, Master of the “Vespas”. Our team name was the “Kok`oros”. Kok`oro means heart. That’s what I exerted that night.

The scene focuses on the ring announcer, making the introductions of the teams, and then, he speaks.

RA= Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is the “X” MATCH! Here are your participants: Introducing the first team: The Vespas! (The Vespas enter the arena and then the ring) Next, The Tongs! (The Tongs make their way to the ring, taunt the crowd on their way, and then, finally enter the ring) And, finally, with grand champion Ethan Hardy, as their captain, The Kok`oros!

The Kok`oros (consisting of Ethan, Shirow, and Min) Enter the ring and do a victory pose on the second turnbuckle.

End of scene.        

Scene 5: The match.

The bell rings and the match is underway. The three teams fought to the bitter end using a variety of moves that included dropkicks and other high-flying moves to take opponents off the “X”. The final moments of the match consisted of Ethan balancing himself on the “X”, along with two Tong members. Ethan then signals to them to bring it on. They oblige. They fight on the “X” and counter each turn. Ethan finally kicks one Tong off and the other manages to lock his legs around the wire and ends up upside down, preventing him from falling. Ethan drops down, holds on the tightrope, then he lets go, and does a devastating move to the upside down Tong all the way to the mat. Fans chant “That was awesome!” Ethan then yells something to Shirow after he collects himself.

EH= Shirow! You have a chance! Get up there and get it! (Shirow starts to think about it) What are you doing?! Do it! (It echoes threw Shirow’s head)

Shirow, out of nowhere, hits Ethan with a super kick, knocking Ethan out basically. Min is in shock. Then, a blue ora comes over Ethan inside him and begins to bring him back to consciousness. Ethan then says this in his mind.

EH= What happened? That blow should have knocked me out. (Flashing back) (HI= It’s in a place deep inside yourself.) Of course.

Ethan then knips up and yells something to Shirow.

EH= Hey Shirow.

S (Shock) = Huh?

EH= Eat this, you asshole!

Ethan throws a right punch to the back of Shirow and then, hits a sweep face buster. Ethan then yells to Min.

EH= Min! Min! Snap out of it and get the prize, damn it!

Min then leaps herself so high to grab the trophy, does a flip, and lands safely on the mat. The ring announcer speaks.

RA= Here are your winners: The Kok`oros!

Min jumps with joy, Ethan smiles and Shirow leaves in disgust.

End of scene.

Scene 6

Everybody is in the locker to congratulate Ethan and Min. Then, Shirow appears. Ethan then points at Shirow and says this.

EH= You!

Ethan and Shirow tried to attack one another. But, the students’ mange to restrain them long enough for master to appear and then, speaks.

M= Halt! (Everybody stops) Now, you two! I will have a solution to this little dilemma tomorrow morning. Until then, neither one of you will not commit any acts of physical aggression against one another. Is that clear?

Ethan and Shirow look at each other with a focus look.
